In Remembrance Part 1

Women in the military have special courage and this tribute is to honor those who have made the ultimate sacrifice.

Part 1 is for those women whose home states are from Alaska through Missouri.

Part 2 is for those women whose home states are from Nebraska through Wisconsin, including Puerto Rico and coalition forces.

This tribute shall be updated on a monthly basis as necessary.

  6. Thanks Auntie! Well this is all a pity and due entirely to George W. Bush and company. So many and so many families affected. We can all only hope that GWB gets charged with war crimes for his dispical acts!

  7. When I get time, might do some html adjusting so the sideline will have a smaller margin and increase the blog body. It's been a long time since I worked with html, so wish the best for me. :-)

  12. Antie, I left a comment last night, but it has disappeared. I watched this wonderful tribute and cried. That they died in a war we should not be fighting, only compounds the loss. It is so sad to know that their families will never see their beautiful faces, feel the warmth of their skin, hear the sound of their laughter, or feel their arms wrapped around them in a warm, caring hug, again in this world. What a sin and a shame that our men and women are dying in a war that is based on lies and deceit. And although we can never forget, thank you, Auntie for reminding us what the cost of war truly is.
It is good to be reminded that there are faces behind those numbers, and that those faces look just like our loved ones.

  14. Annie, Stephanie, Nite2day, thank you so much for your visit and comments. Women in the military hold a special place in my heart.

After Part 2, I will begin presenting something about them, along with their photos. The first woman to be killed in action in Persian Gulf II was a Hobi Indian whose home state was Arizona.

There is another woman who was serving in the medical field, and she was killed while getting wounded soliders on a helicopter.

Then there is the husband and wife who were both serving, and she tried disarming a bomb to save other soliders when it blew up and killed her. What a sacrifice!!

We cannot ever let them be forgotten.

    Thanks again.
