In Remembrance - Part 2

Women in the military have special courage and this tribute is to honor those who have made the ultimate sacrifice.

Part 2 is for those women whose home states are from Nebraska through Wisconsin, including Puerto Rico and Coalition Forces.

This tribute shall be updated on a monthly basis as necessary.

  1. I will be watching for it, Auntie. It's a shame that you are encountering problems. Videos are one thing I haven't tried. Thanks for the tribute.

  2. Morning, Stef. I hope that Google has things fixed by the time I get home today.

Wordpress has an upgrade that is approx. $57.00 a year in order to upload videos. I thought that by going with Google blogspot, I could do our Service Women justice.

Let's keep our fingers crossed and say a prayer. :-)

  4. Prayer said, fingers crossed, and I am sure that you will be able to complete your project. It is so important, that I cannot see our prayers going unheard. :-)

  7. Auntieb,
Thank goodness someone has finally seen to it that our fallen are honored. Again as in the past, you've shown me, others come first. This is becoming a fine piece of work that you should be proud of, I know family and friends are. Thank you and I'll be checking in from time to time. A guy (Marine or not) can only sit and wipe wet eyes only every so often.
I remain your friend, Semper Fi.

  9. Neverpar!!! Semper Fi! It's good to see you. How's golfing these days?

Everyone, I would like for you to meet Neverpar. (I think that his handle has to do with golf.) :-)

We met -- when? About 8 years ago? He drove miles along with some other men after we all found that we have the desire for justice in common. So don't let him fool you about me putting others first. HE DOES TOO!!

    Hugs.

  12. Auntie, it must be a problem with the site, as you were able to upload the first part. Hopefully they will get off their cans and get it fixed.

  13. What's that Italco? Now, you know the military's way is to hurry up and wait. LOL.

Actually, I think that whatever went wrong in the first upload attempt ended up corrupting the file. When I pulled it up in movie maker, it was a mess.

So now I will begin again. The women are worth it.

  14. Stef, it doesn't seem as though Google has personnel to provide answers. You have to keep trying, experimenting, etc.

  15. Yes Auntie...they are very much worth it.

  16. I suppose so Auntie, but it is very frustrating.

  17. I uploaded it to YouTube, and embedded it here.

Alas! Let's pray for the safety of our military personnel and that they will be home soon.

  18. Auntie, I watched both parts of the tribute together just now, and it breaks my heart. My God, they are so young. Those poor families. What a crying shame, and it makes me soooooooo sad, and even madder than I am sad. It is just a sin and a shame that these women gave their lives for a lie. That really chaps my ass.

  19. Stef, I know the feeling. Thanks for the link to Michael Moore's article. I'm going to place it in the body of the article. It really describes what some women in the military experience with gender discrimination.

  20. Happy 4th of July to you Auntie and to every Soldier who serves or has served our country...thank you.

  21. A belated happy 4th of July to you too, Italco.

I met a woman today who reenlisted with the Army, and an Army recruiter. The stress of what they endure to get their affairs in order before being deployed can be tremendous. It tells me that we have the best of the best in the Armed Forces.

I am very proud of them.
